The Azerbaijan Tourism Board participated in the Luxury Travel Mart (LTM) held in Baku, Tashkent, and Almaty from February 18-24 to strengthen its ties with the Central Asian tourism market.

During the events, over 25 leading tourism companies and tour operators from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan engaged in business-to-business (B2B) meetings, exploring potential collaborations with Azerbaijani tourism industry representatives.

The discussions, primarily focused on the premium travel segment, highlighted Azerbaijan’s world-class ski resorts, health and wellness centers, luxury tourism offerings, and business tourism sector.

In 2024, the number of visitors from Central Asia to Azerbaijan reached 180,528, marking a 34% increase compared to 2023.

Direct flights operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Air Astana, FlyArystan, and Uzbekistan Airways between Baku and major cities such as Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Bishkek, Tashkent, and Dushanbe continue to enhance connectivity and boost mutual tourism flow.
